National FFA Convention And Expo 2013

The Kentucky Exposition Center welcomes the FFA Convention and Expo 2013 October 30 thru November 2, 2013. The KEC, located at 937 Phillips Lane, Louisville Ky, 40209, is hosting the organization’s annual event which is expected to bring over 56,000 visitors to the Louisville KY, Southern Indiana area.

The FFA, Future Farmers Of America, is an integral part of agricultural education through a classroom instruction using hands on applications. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success.

This years opening keynote speaker will be Rick Pitino, Head coach for the U of L men’s basketball program. Mr. Pitino will open the convention with his ten step process “Success is a Choice”, Wed. Oct. 30, 3:30 pm and again at 6:45 pm.

Joe Torillo, New York City fireman who rushed to help as the first plane crashed into the Twin Towers Sept. 11, 2011 and was buried alive twice and miraculously survived, will be speaking on “The Re-United States of America” Nov.1 at 8 am.
